Kari was born in the Tri-Cities to a farming family. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University in 2003 and her Juris Doctor degree from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2006. Kari is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, Family Law Section of the Washington State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Benton-Franklin Bar Association. She was admitted to practice in Washington State and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Washington in 2006.
Since beginning practice, Kari has focused her practice exclusively in family law. Kari was the recipient of the prestigious Gene Schuster Award from the Benton Franklin Legal Aid Society in 2008 for her level of involvement in the community. Kari has worked as a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) through the juvenile courts in Benton, Franklin and Spokane Counties. Kari is a court approved guardian ad litem (GAL).
She is an advocate for each and every one of her clients, taking the time to understand each person’s unique situation and circumstances.
